Our parish has begun a journey of spiritual renewal developed by RENEW International called Longing for the Holy: Spirituality for Everyday Life. All parishioners are welcome to participate in this process.

Adult Faith Formation at St. Anthony's

Faith formation - growing in our friendship with God - is the task of a lifetime. From infancy to old age, we are constantly learning what it means to be a Christian. Indeed, we are constantly learning what it means to be a good and decent human being.

The Parish of St. Anthony of Padua strives towards a "cradle to grave" model of faith formation. Since the days of the Apostles, the classic model of teaching the faith has been a three-fold structure of:

PROCLAMATION - TEACHING - DEEPENING

Because we are an ancient Church, we often use the Greek and Latin terms for these stages:

PARANESIS (EVANGELIZATION)

CATECHESIS (INITIATION)

MYSTAGOGIA (GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT)

Our parish seeks to offer many different opportunities for Catholics to grow in their faith. Here are some of them:

DOCAT: WHAT TO DO

The new flagship adult faith formation offering at St. Anthony of Padua Parish (including St. Paul's Chapel).

We use the official Docat book and study guide, as well as the phone app, as published under the direction of the pope.

Small groups meet according to their own schedule. Please contact the parish office for a list of small group leaders and meeting times.

THAT MAN IS YOU

Picture
A men's leadership program based on the teaching of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of authentic men capable of transforming themselves, their families and all of society. The group meets at 6am on Friday mornings.

Contact Ken Schneider (kemasch@ indianadata.com) or Rob Thomas (r.thomas@isi-inc.us) for more info.

NOTE: This program is now finished. If you enjoyed TMIY, you are encouraged to participate in Chaoice Wine (see below).

WOMEN'S SCRIPTURE STUDY GROUP

Not strictly just a Bible study, our group reads and discusses many different books and articles and video series and topics. We are always learning so much!

Presently we are using a series about the timeline of the Bible - it has been quite fascinating!

We meet Wednesday mornings at 8:45 a.m. in one of the classrooms.

LEVÁNTATE: UNÁMONOS IN CRISTO

Picture
