Fulfillment of the Promise
Phase III: Part 2 & 3
Let's finish what we started!
A PRAYER FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE
"Blessed be the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who has bestowed
on us in Christ every spiritual blessing in the heavens ..." - Ephesians 1:3
In gracious gratitude for all the blessings of my life, dear Lord, help me in return to respond with generosity as my parish seeks to fulfill the promise we made some years ago. I thank you for past generations who have built up so vibrant a parish, I thank you for the present moment of opportunity and promise, and I ask you to help me move forward with humility into the future. You have blessed this parish, you bless this parish even now, and you will continue to bless us.
You said that it is in giving that we receive, and that where our treasure is, there is also our heart. Dear God, help St. Anthony Parish to build up not only buildings and programs, but a faithful People of God, a temple built of living stones, a reflection of your beauty. Help me to give of my time, talent and treasure cheerfully, in proportion to my means, from the gifts I have received.
"Every promise will be fulfilled, says the Lord, for I am God." - Joshua 21:45
Amen

Phase III: Part 2 - to be completed in 2021
St. Francis Hall Classroom Partitions
GOAL = $41,000 - COMPLETED IN SEPTEMBER 2021!!
The goal of “Phase III/Part 2” is to allow our parish religious education program to grow along with the parish itself, by creating a multifunctional area in the parish hall that can be used by everyone. Currently there are more than 150 students in our religious ed program from K-12. There is a shortage of classrooms! In previous years, some classes literally met in hallways.
New room dividers on tracks will give us 4 additional classrooms at a reasonable cost. The partitions are flexible in design – we can create four, three, two, one or zero classrooms at any moment. In this way, we can use St. Francis Hall at its present full capacity for big events or have dozens of children meeting in four classrooms on Sunday morning.
IN the fall of 2019, the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend approved this project: we had hoped to begin fundraising in early 2020 and have the hall completed by the fall of 2020. Covid-19 changed all that. Fortunately, before the lockdown began, we had already received some generous donations, allowing us to begin the work.
IN the summer of 2020, contractors installed new steel beams in the ceiling of St. Francis Hall, strong enough to hold the weight of the new partitions. In early June of this year, we hope to attach a system of tracks to the beams. At the same time, we must install a new air conditioner and air handler in the hall to replace the current unit from the 1980s.
The Fundraising Committee asks everyone’s support so we can complete the St. Francis Hall Classroom Project. Our goal is: $41,000
“Many small drops make a mighty river.” If many parishioners make even a small donation, we will be ready to teach the faith to our children in the fall. You can give in three ways:
The fundraising campaign will last for six weeks, from June 1st through July 15th, 2021. The actual work will be done in June, July and August. Once our religious education program returns to in-person classes this September, we can welcome them back with real classrooms! Your generosity is so important for us to finish what we started.
Remember – all donations are tax deductible.

- Make a one-time donation
- Make a 3-month pledge
- Sponsor a student – for only $250, you can help ensure classrooms for our young Catholics
